Issue 2 goes live in 5 days, and yet I already feel like this project has been published for years. That’s really only half-true, because this project has been published for nearly a decade… but all inside my head.
I have a long-term plan for this project that I haven’t been very public about. I suppose I just don’t want to jinx it. But for those of you who bother to read these rather journal-esque entries, there is the humble luxury of getting a glimpse of the bigger picture. If only a glimpse.
I have enough story thoroughly mapped out for this project that can sustain 12 volumes, or in other words, 48 issues. Even then, that’s only the first half of Act 1 of the entire saga. I did say it was a saga, after all. I know what I said, and I meant what I said.
From a publishing standpoint, I intend to release roughly 3 volumes a year. So theoretically, and if all goes as planned (LOL) it would take me about 4 years to finish the first half of Act 1. I’m just gonna let that sink in.
Yes, that is a lot of work for one person with a full-time job and a delicate social life. I have no doubts that I will get it done, whether I finish 12 volumes in 4 years or in 10 years. Hopefully, I can get to a point where I’m not doing it all alone, but I suppose that too will take time.
Until then, the goal is simple: 12 volumes, 4 years. Shoot for the stars, land on the moon.
